Isometric Flat

The finished render (click it for the full size)!

This was a nice project to complete. As this is actually my living room I had no shortage of reference material which helped quite a bit in getting the project finished by Monday evening (12/10/15), which was my goal.

For rendering this scene, I used 3Ds Max’s default scanline render engine, with the light tracer plugin active. The reason I chose this approach was two-fold, first because shadows and ambient light look absolutely amazing using this set-up and secondly, bold colours come through very strong.

I chose the 3D isometric style as it was something I had seen but not tried before. I really enjoyed working with this camera style so I expect I will use it again on another project.
